Speeches

 Vows

In writing, your wedding vows remember that the promises that you make to one another are the most important words you will exchange on your wedding day, they are the sentiments

That you are promising to your partner and are being witnessed by your friends and family.

These words need to be carefully prepared and practiced, spoken from your heart with great Sincerity.  The words that you choose for your wedding ceremony will convey your deepest beliefs about marriage and your love for one another. When writing your wedding vows you will need to decide if you will be repeating the age-old vows or if you will be writing your own vows

Readings

There is a wealth of wonderful words that you can choose for readings in your ceremony.  These include passages of scripture, inspirational readings, poetry, words of wisdom from your favorite author, words from a song that has sentimental value or special words from someone close to you

Toast and Speeches

  • The traditional order of speeches is as follows:
  • The Father of the Bride – proposes the toast to the Bride and Groom
  • The Best Man – proposes a toast to the bridesmaids
  • The Groom – thanks everyone that has helped and proposes the toast to his beautiful bride
  • The Bride (if she chooses to make a speech)

All of this is held together by the MC who introduces all of the speakers and ensures the continuity of the reception.
